Snow In Florida and Lots of Gratitude

Heading into Thanksgiving tomorrow, there’s so much in our lives to be grateful for.

On Monday, we attended our final meeting for Fort Myers South Rotary. When the speaker couldn’t make it, we all went around the room and talked about the things we’re grateful for. It was a sweet wrap up for our last meeting. Evan spoke about excitement for spending the upcoming holidays with family and I shared what’s been my theme for the last few weeks, my love for Rotary and my gratitude for the connections is has brought me.

On Tuesday we wrapped up our time in Florida with an incredible dinner at Campiello, super grateful for Susan who has been an amazing guide to some of the area’s best restaurants and events. The night ended with a few songs from carolers and snow in Florida. It felt like a little bit of magic with people of all ages laughing and snapping pictures as a street lamp blew foam bubble snow over all of us. We went back to Susan’s and packed up, preparing for whatever adventure comes next.

Wednesday was a flight day which is always one of my least favorite things but we arrived safely and even a little early. Evan’s cousin met as at the metro station and brought us over to his aunt and uncle’s house. It was my first time getting to meet them and it was nice to get time to chat and connect before heading into a busy day with the family tomorrow.
