It’s been another hectic three days!
It started with getting all the packing done to leave Susan’s. After that was finished up, we headed to her Rotary Club, Fort Myers South, where I got to give my third official Coddiwomple Rotary speech. We ran errands for a while before heading back for a sunset dinner and to triple check packing before she took us to the airport. Kai picked us up at midnight from the airport and took us home to crash.
Tuesday morning we sorted out clothes we wouldn’t need and repacked again. We introduced my dad to Kaleidoscope, our latest fixation show, and then went to a quick lunch with Ang. When we came out of lunch, it was snowing so Kai grabbed us even earlier than planned to head to the airport. After some annoying pre-flight hassles, we made it onto our second plan in 24 hours. Evan’s brother, Sly, got us from the airport and we were able to surprise their mom with our arrival.
Most of today was spent helping Evan’s mom around her photography studio to plan for an upcoming birthday and soft opening event. I’m super excited to be in my element, event planning and coordinating some social media efforts. Evan enjoyed a bit of painting and will be doing even more (plus some organizing) tomorrow. We’ll be helping a lot at the studio for the next week. The following week, we are looking forward to the next host we’ve found and getting to celebrate our sixth anniversary.
