It’s been a quiet few days spending more time with family and looking for some temporary jobs for the few weeks we’ll be here.
Since we’ve had such a quiet couple days, I want to encourage you to find volunteer opportunities in your community!
April is National Volunteer Month and the 22nd is Earth Day. There are numerous volunteer events happening in communities all over the United States. These are all one day events and usually are only a few hours of low commitment work.
If volunteering with a group doesn’t appeal, Earth Day is also a perfect chance to do some individual trail or park cleanups. Just make sure to take some water, have enough trash bags, wear gloves, and tell someone where you’re going!
If cleanup events aren’t interesting to you, there’s always events going on that you can find with a simple Google search. I didn’t realize before this year how easy it really can be to find these opportunities and I encourage everyone to look out for at least a few you can be part of.
