As of Monday, after a few unexpected shenanigans, we are officially moved into our new apartment! We are all still getting used to the space, especially since there won’t be furniture here until Saturday, but it’s been nice to get started at least and start figuring out our new normal.
In the midst of all the moving and job stuff, I also started the process of applying for grad school! Exciting things happening but wow it’s been hectic around here.
Beyond all that, we’re officially signed up for an orientation with an awesome volunteer organization called Cake4Kids that will allow us to make our own schedule and bake cakes and treats for children and families in need! We’re so excited to have found a volunteer organization that fits so perfectly into our lives right now.
Also continuously grateful to Rotary and those opportunities. Today, I got to hear a speech from Julie Johnson Haffner, our District Governor Elect, and talk to her more about my Rotary journey. I’m looking forward to connecting with her more soon and seeing how she can support our ongoing journey in life.
