There’s not much to talk about over the last few days. We’re still all settling in and getting to work and learning how to live together. There are a lot of dates impending for important events and it’s exciting even if it’s stressful.
The main goings on are upcoming as I prepare to do a parking lot pickup and volunteer to scan papers for a mentor of mine tomorrow and we pack for a weekend trip with friends.
Other small good things, I received a beautiful message this week from a Florida RYLA conferee who is applying to be a JC after hearing I recommended her for the position. I also got a message from yet another one requesting scholarship letters and advice. It’s amazing being the person on this end of the letters as I also reach out to my network and find my own recommenders.
Meanwhile, Kai informed me today he has joined a DEI committee at his school and Evan is loving his zoo job more and more every day (yesterday he got trail mix and today he procured plants). It’s exciting to be getting to a place where we will get to be thriving after many days of pushing through surviving.
