Welcome to Boulder. What’s Next?

In the last couple days, we have been graciously welcomed into the events of the Boulder Valley Rotary Club. After catching up on some much needed rest Monday, we attended their lunch meeting on Tuesday. The meeting featured a choral performance by Key of She, a local women’s choir, and Evan and I were invited to attend a service event the following day.

The service event today was aiding in the final steps of a coat drive. Boulder Valley had already collected and dry cleaned the coats but we were able to help sort by size and re-bag approximately 600 coats for donation to around 20 different local organizations. I also confirmed my first official Rotary speaking engagement and will be the featured speaker at Boulder Valley Rotary’s meeting on January 3rd.

We’ve also been able to spend some time with my immediate family in the last few days, picking my dad up from the airport, enjoying a family dinner out, playing with babies on a visit to my mom’s work, and trying out some potential Christmas gifts at Fort Collin’s Haunted Game Cafe with my younger brother.

As we look towards the next few days, we are excited to be questioning what state we’ll be in… both mentally and literally… Wyoming? Colorado? Arizona? Who’s to say? This flexibility goal is definitely challenging me…
