Friends, Family, and Rotary Opportunities

On Monday we spent a day in Denver with some friends to get them out of their house. We explored city park, spent some time at the mall, and got to meet some new people for dinner. When we got home, I was happy to see my bridesmaid dress finally arrived! My friend Jamie’s wedding will be the first wedding I’ve ever been in and after getting to help with her proposal back in October, it’s all even more exciting.

On Tuesday I was thrilled to get some RYLA dates on the calendar. Meet and Greet is officially set in just a few weeks and I can’t wait to reunite with my favorite staff and meet our new members. After getting that, and some other new dates, on the calendar I got some work done for my aunt who hired me to do the scheduling for her winery’s summer bands. Evan really enjoyed actually getting some time to relax while I did something else.

Wednesday I attended my first meeting as a member of Loveland-Mountain View Rotary. We had the opportunity to hear from Chief Sendelbach of the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority who talked about the community engagement work being done by the LFRA. I also was excited to get to volunteer for an upcoming project, reviewing scholarship essays turned into our club. After getting home, we headed off to the first day of the conference track meet where Kai and his relay team set themselves a new PR.
