This week has been a lot of downtime combined with a lot of the work needed to be an adult and resettle in.
Monday was spent prepping for job interviews the next day and learning about the organizations I’d be applying for. It’s crazy to think from my expectations and research how much has changed in three days. After the research was over, we also did a family BBQ for the holiday and then went to see Ang for a bit.
Tuesday I had job interviews in the morning and the evening. In between, it was a lot of resting and a lot more research as we attempted to figure out and plan for having only one car and navigating transit with completely different schedules.
Wednesday started with a fantastic Rotary meeting with my home club, Loveland Mountain View. One of my supervising SCs from RYLA, Karen Trusler, visited and it was wonderful to see her. We also had a deep conversation analyzing our lack of membership and I am excited to be part of the membership committee as we brainstormed solutions and plans to move forward. After the meeting, Evan and I worked more on apartment applications and job onboarding paperwork. I ended the night getting ice cream and chatting for hours with my RYLA friends Zoë and Gav.
